How we verify providers
Every provider on Hayoppy goes through a multi-step verification process before their listings are visible to pet owners.
Identity verification
Providers submit a valid government-issued ID (passport, driver's license, or national ID). We verify authenticity before approval.
Profile review
Our team manually reviews each provider's profile, service descriptions, and photos to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
Background screening
Business accounts undergo additional screening including DTI/SEC registration verification and business permit checks.
Ongoing monitoring
Providers are continuously monitored through reviews, response rates, and booking completion rates. Poor performers are flagged for review.
Payment protection
Your money is protected at every stage of the transaction. We never release payment to a provider until the service is confirmed complete.
Encrypted transactions
All payments use 256-bit SSL encryption via PayMongo.
Refund guarantee
Full refund if a provider cancels or no-shows.
Held in escrow
Funds are held securely until service completion.
No off-platform payments
Never pay outside Hayoppy — you lose all protections.
Our review system
Reviews on Hayoppy are only from verified bookings. You cannot leave a review for a service you haven't booked and completed through the platform.
Verified booking reviews only
Reviews are unlocked only after a booking is marked complete.
Two-way reviews
Both pet owners and providers can leave reviews after each booking.
Flagging system
Users can flag suspicious or abusive reviews for our team to investigate.
No anonymous reviews
All reviews are tied to real, verified accounts.
No review manipulation
Offering incentives for positive reviews is strictly prohibited.
Reporting & dispute resolution
If something goes wrong, we're here to help. Our trust and safety team investigates all reports within 24 hours on business days.
Step 1 — Report the issue
Use the report button on any listing, profile, or booking. Include as much detail as possible.
Step 2 — Investigation
Our team reviews the report, contacts both parties if needed, and gathers evidence.
Step 3 — Resolution
We resolve disputes within 3–5 business days. Outcomes may include refunds, account warnings, or suspensions.
Step 4 — Follow-up
We notify all parties of the outcome and any actions taken.
