Our commitment to keeping pets, owners, and providers safe
At Hayoppy, the safety of your pets, our providers, and our community is our top priority. These guidelines apply to all users of the platform — pet owners, independent sitters, and business operators. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in account suspension.
Pet Safety Standards
Up-to-date vaccinations
All pets must have current vaccinations appropriate for their species and age. Providers may request proof of vaccination before accepting a booking.
Health disclosure
Pet owners must disclose any existing medical conditions, behavioral issues, allergies, or medications before the service begins.
Emergency contacts
Always provide an emergency contact and your preferred veterinary clinic when booking. Providers must be able to reach you within 30 minutes.
Flea and parasite-free
Pets must be treated for fleas and ticks before attending any group service such as daycare, boarding, or group training.
Appropriate temperament
Aggressive pets must be declared upfront. Providers have the right to decline service for the safety of other animals and staff.
Provider Safety Standards
Identity verification
All providers must complete our identity verification process before their listings go live. This includes a valid government-issued ID.
Safe environment
Providers offering home-based services must ensure their space is secure, free of hazards, and appropriate for the pets in their care.
Capacity limits
Providers must not take on more pets than they can safely manage. Overloading is a violation of our safety standards.
Emergency preparedness
Providers must have a plan for pet emergencies including knowledge of the nearest veterinary clinic and basic first aid.
No unauthorized substances
The use of sedatives, tranquilizers, or any non-prescribed medication on pets without explicit written consent from the owner is strictly prohibited.
Community Standards
Respectful communication
All interactions on Hayoppy — messages, reviews, forum posts — must be respectful. Harassment, threats, and abusive language will result in immediate account suspension.
Honest reviews
Reviews must be based on genuine experiences. Fake reviews, whether positive or negative, are a violation of our terms and will be removed.
No off-platform payments
All payments must go through the Hayoppy platform. Accepting off-platform payments removes safety protections for both parties.
Privacy protection
Do not share personal information of other users — addresses, phone numbers, or photos — outside of the platform without explicit consent.
Reporting Safety Concerns
If you witness or experience any safety violations, please report them immediately. We take all reports seriously and investigate within 24 hours.
